New Mexico Music Commission Produces "New Mexico Southwest Sounds" featuring diverse musicians of all genres from across the state, as well as scenic video of New Mexico provided by the New Mexico Tourism Department.

"There's no question the television show Austin City Limits raised the profile of that city, and helped the Texas economy. We hope to do the same with New Mexico Southwest Sounds," said Nancy Laflin, Executive Director of the New Mexico Music Commission.

Video taping of the show will take place Sept. 10, 11, 12, 13 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.

This episode will feature Susan Abod, Nosotros, The Jimmy Stadler Band, Ryan McGarvey, Wayne Wesley Johnson, Crazyfool, Alex Maryol, Todd Tijerina, The Fabulous Chekkers, Jarret and the Cornerstones, Susan Clark, The Next Chapter, Sorela, Randy Granger, Micky Cruz, and Poor Man's Ferrari.

Susan sang at the Governor's mansion with Brian Bennett on piano for a private dinner party with Governor Richardson honoring NAACP chairman, Jullian Bond.

Susan was a finalist of the 2006 New Mexico State Fair Talent Showcase in the Jazz Category.
